Ohio State’s Principles of Marketing 754 Begins Tuesday 3/27

Tomorrow (3/27) I begin teaching Principles of Electronic Marketing at The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business in Mason Hall 345 starting at 3:30 EST.  The course is 4 credit hours, and meets Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 - 5:18.

Class topics include:

  1. Overview of Internet Marketing (search engine marketing, organic and paid search, email marketing, social media (blogging), affiliate marketing, website analytics
  2. Understanding the Objectives of Internet Marketing
  3. How Does Web Marketing Fit into Overall Marketing Strategy, Multichannel Brand Strategy
  4. Designing a Website with Marketing in Mind
  5. Organic Search
  6. Paid Search
  7. Google Adwords
  8. Web Analytics
  9. Email Marketing
  10. Social Media, Blogging

    What the heck is going on with all of this “THE Ohio State” nonsense? Do people really confuse Ohio State with some other university, which forced the school to distinguish itself as THE Ohio State? As in “Accept no substitutions! We’re the real deal!”
